In the End

~for Chayut

"In the end,
we'll lose all the things,
language,
traditions,
even our children (when
they are no longer
Hmong),"
you, my friend,
said.

And I think
you're right. But
in the end, we'll
probably never
know.

And are our language,
traditions,
and children
ours to lose,
or just ours to celebrate
and let go?

In the end, all we may
be able to do
is to present
our very best.
And let the next
take it over.

That's what every generation
must have finally felt
and done
in the end.

Tswvchoj, Thank you so much I'm very pleased.

You're right we'll never lose just old and new. Just like the earth is revolving around the sun, we never feel it.

Thank you.

Chayut,
Your are not only right, you are poetic and prophetic as well. I am just playing with words. Thanks for the quotation.
